How to get here
Paracuru, is situated in the north east of Brazil in the region of Ceará and is 84 kms from Fortaleza, which is the nearest large city and the nearest major airport.

The principal airlines that fly from Europe are :

And from North America: VARIG, TAM , GO
The most confortable and safe method of travelling from the airport to Paracurú (and to avoid having to spend the night in a hotel in Fortaleza) is by private transfer as the majority of European flights arrive at night (Transfer information and prices can be found on this web page) .
The other option is car hire from the airport, the journey takes about 1 hr 30 min but not advisable to undertake at night if you don’t know the roads as there are no road signs and the roads aren’t illuminated at night.
To get to the spot :
There are several ways to get to the spot from the centre of Paracuru (the main square in the village ) you can take a taxi from the square or a motor bike taxi which is cheaper, cost 5 reales approx.
If you fancy a bit of exercise you can walk or cycle from the beach situated in the village, 100 mts from the square in a south westerly direction about a 30 min walk along the sea shore and on the way you can appreciate the beautiful scenery where the sand dunes melt into the sea.
If you have a car you have to take the CE-135 going south ( Petrobras Oil Rig ) you will take about 5 or 10 minutes to get there but drive with caution because when it’s windy the sand from the dunes blows on to and covers the road and you have to be careful the the car doesn’t get stuck in the sand.
The windsurf school and hire centre is situated beside the only Bar-Restaurante which is open air and on the beach. Once you get there you will see the centre in front of the sea.
To get from Fortaleza airport to Paracurú:
Take sign for Paracuru - CE, Brasil 102 km – approx. 1h 25 min

2. Turn left at Av. Lauro V Chaves 0,5 km
3. Turn right and continue along Av. Lauro V Chaves 0,5 km
4. Carry on along Av. Luciano Carneiro 2,9 km
5. Turn left in Av. Treze de Maio 1,8 km
6. Continue along Av. Jovita Feitosa 2,5 km
7. Turn right in R. Eng. Humberto Monte 0,4 km
8. R. Eng. Humberto Monte continue on the right until you reach Av. Dr. Theberge 0,3 km
9. Turn left in Av. Mister Hull 3,5 km
10. Continue along BR-020 7,5 km
11. Take a right in BR-222 52,0 km
12. Turn right in CE-135 30,0 km
